Have fun tracking down the news story that inspired this strip. In the news article I read everybody was named except for the son.
That little omission set me to pondering. What if the son
was a minor? What if he was being bullied into going along? The real story of
this strip is not the man’s crazy obsession that the reason his wife would
divorce him is because she’s possessed, but the silent passenger in the car. I
hope you picked up on it.
