The Return of Stickman #876 & 877

These strips were inspired by recent events in both the news and purchases, of Fez, not Batman.

The Return of Stickman #874

This was the only recipe I could think of that included Skittles and still might be edible.

To spare you some time googling for Benjamin Bowman Curtis I will inform you that he was a spokesperson for Dell. He was the "Dell Dude" who's catchphrase was "Dude, get a Dell." He was let go as spokesperson when he was caught with some Mary Jane.

The Comic Critic Reviews He Was A Quiet Man

I thought I drew up this review earlier this year. But, I looked through my sketchbooks and saw that I didn't. It's a bit on the odd side. I got thinking about it when I got to thinking that folks don't appreciate Christian Slater as a truly fine actor.

The Return of Stickman #870

What I loved about the news article that inspired this strip is when the restaurant was closed down by the health inspector, the sign on the door read: Closed because of family problems.

The Return of Stickman #867

I've had this issue with Iron Chef for a long time. Last night's show was just the last straw. Squash! Do you know how many freakin' squash there are and how many tastes? I might have hated squash when I was growing up, but I'm a squash fiend these days and you just can't expect people to think it is a challenge when you select an entire plant species. You just can't!

The Comic Critic Reviews Fright Night and The Return of Stickman #865

This is a vampire film, which uses vampire film knowledge to battle vampire film vampires while doing an homage to vampire films. A lot of great horror movies came out in the 1980s. And the best, like Fright Night, are filled with clever writing, wonderful characters, and a love for creepy crawly celluloid of the past. I was extremely tempted to give this film a ten. I’m still tempted to give this film a ten. In short, this is a great freakin’ film and if you haven’t seen it, you are culturally deprived.

The Return of Stickman #864

When we first moved into our house we decided that it would be a no-posting zone. We have a very long stretch of property along a fairly well traveled road. When our neighbors noticed that we were not putting up any signs by ourselves, they offered to post their signs there. We informed them that nothing was going up. My neighbors adjacent to me took up the same policy. Every now and then someone will try to stick something in between the two property lines hoping to slide by. They never make it through the day. Now I would just like to see them all, especially the ones on posted about in public, get cleaned up.

I want to thank my friend Donna Barr for providing the inspiration for this strip. Oh look! Donna has a Wikipedia listing describing all of her comic book work.

The Comic Critic Reviews The Night of the Comet

I love the social commentary that the only folks who end up normal afer the comet has passed, are those wo didn't care to stare up at the night sky in wonder. Talk about a selective survival mechanism. Speaking of surviving, our heorine and her boyfriend made it through the night because they were in an old bunker, and yet none of the other survivors stories' sound that plausible. I love the wit and valley girl attitude. and for those watching for the first time, get ready for a big ol' 80s flashback. And check out who the actors were. Hilarious!
