The Return of Stickman #1131

After reading about these two would be bank robbers my head filled will ideas. Them in the court room, them in jail, one of them speaking as a favor for the other at a high school for career day. But this strip was the strongest I thought. I just thought I'd let you know that you're only getting the best. You believe that don't you?

The Return of Stickman #1129 & #1130

I forgot to post Monday's stickman here yesterday. Oops. Well, I guess you get a double dose today.

I think I'm done on this topic. At least until the National Enquirer says that Mr. James is having sex with Aliens. Wait, better make that something 'real' happens. Wait, maybe until there is actual 'real' news.

Free Money Day! Woo Hoo!

The Comic Critic reviews "Dead Snow"

I was really hoping to see Dead Snow in a movie theater last year, but there aren’t many theaters out there that carry Norwegian films. And those that do might just turn up their noses at one that’s filled with Nazi Zombies. You might think that there are lots of Nazi Zombie movies out there, but they are truly few and far between. I think I can count them all on one or two severed hands. Thankfully, it is now on DVD. I wonder if the commentary also has subtitles?

The Return of Stickman #1128

I know I promised a different strip for today. But I'm going to use that strip on Monday. For some reason I thought this work week had six instead of five days. Oops.

The Return of Stickman #1126

I've been a fan of Sandra Bullock for a long time. This in spite of that terrible sequel "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed & Fabulous". I've also been a fan of Jesse James ever since "Monster Trucks" aired on television. But I shook my head in disbelief when I found out the two of them got married. And now this. Oh lord, it's Burt and Loni all over again.

The Return of Stickman #1125

Yesterday I made a terrible mistake when scanning in the artwork submitted by Mark Carrasco. I accidentally repeated panels three and four as panels one and two. So if you didn't get the joke it's because I messed up the setup. I have since corrected the scan and you can see the full strip as it was meant to be seen by clicking on the arrow and visiting yesterdays NEW strip. It all goes to show that sometimes behind a simple strip is a overly simple person.

Oh, and yesterday's comment that the public school system provides entertainment was meant for this strip, not yesterday's. In short, yesterday was not my best day and I flubbed up several times.

The Return of Stickman #1123

John Markuson is my copy editor. I drive his insane. Often I will post comics that I think are perfect transcripts of the scripts I sent him. Yesterday, and this has been corrected, he asked how a geek like me could possibly miss-spell Leonard Nimoy?

The Return of Stickman #1122

This guy usually shows up and remains planted in front of you just as largest crowd of potential buyers come through. I thought about drawing a crowd behind him, but I'm already late getting out the door to see the dentist.

The Return of Stickman #1121

I sold more books than I did posters at the comicon. But I'm happy that I did bring along the posters as their income took care of parking and meals. Actually, my friend Joe Manfredini took care of meals and was kind enough board me while I was in Seattle. Huh, I know he got a book and a shirt for his wonderful wife Liz, but did he get a poster too?

The Return of Stickman #1120

I had a lot of fun at the Emerald City Comicon selling my book The Comic Critic Presents Seldom Seen Films. Between autograph requests I wrote a full week's worth of strips. If you want a copy of the book, go here.

The Return of Stickman #1119

Now that I've made fun of the census, I'm off to the comic book convention. I'm sure I will come home loaded with plenty of new ideas to use in the Stickman strip. I did a comic book convention series once before. You can check it out here.

The Return of Stickman #1118 and Only Two More Days Until Emerald City Comicon!

With only two more days to go until the Emerald City Comicon nearly all my preparations are complete. If you happen to be in Seattle, I look forward to seeing you there. Here is a map of where I will be selling my first book "The Comic Critic Presents Seldom Seen Films".

The Return of Stickman #1117

The census form is far from perfect in how it gathers information. Which gives me plenty of material to work with.

The Return of Stickman #1116

This strip goes out to all my Polish friends, the vast majority of whom are either from or live in Chicago.

The Return of Stickman #1115

I'm very excited about the Emerald City Comicon coming this weekend in Seattle. I will have a table in Artists' Alley and will be selling my new book The Comic Critic Presents Seldom Seen Films. I'll have the book for sale on my website after the convention.

The Comic Critic Reviews The Invention of Lying

The Invention of Lying may not be the best film ever made, but it is a damn good film. The writing is exceptional. Just try to think of dialog that is one hundred percent honest, dialog without any exaggerations or embellishments. Raw honesty, in all of its spoken forms, is horrendously funny, intolerably cruel, and full of truth. It makes for a very heartwarming romantic comedy of a different stripe.

The Return of Stickman #1114

Several phone and social networking sites have features that allow for automatic back-ups of text, video, and photos. So it's no surprise that folks are finding more evident to put in the hands of the police. I've heard of cases in which the police did nothing and other cases in which the police were more than happy to follow up.

The Return of Stickman #1113

It is no news to police that some criminals are a bit more behind the curve than others. I learned this on the several ride-alongs I did with the Kent Police Department. If your community provides a ride-along program, take advantage of it. You will learn to appreciate all that the police do to protect the community.

The Return of Stickman #1112

I haven't butt dialed anyone yet with my cell phone. But, I've had my cat hang up on them. I like to sit at my desk with ear buds plugged into my iphone and that cat has stepped on the end call button more than once.

The Return of Stickmna #1110

Like so many other stories your read in The Return of Stickman, this one is 100% true. Allegedly.
