The Invention of Lying may not be the best film ever made, but it is a damn good film. The writing is exceptional. Just try to think of dialog that is one hundred percent honest, dialog without any exaggerations or embellishments. Raw honesty, in all of its spoken forms, is horrendously funny, intolerably cruel, and full of truth. It makes for a very heartwarming romantic comedy of a different stripe.

Several phone and social networking sites have features that allow for automatic back-ups of text, video, and photos. So it's no surprise that folks are finding more evident to put in the hands of the police. I've heard of cases in which the police did nothing and other cases in which the police were more than happy to follow up.

It is no news to police that some criminals are a bit more behind the curve than others. I learned this on the several ride-alongs I did with the Kent Police Department. If your community provides a ride-along program, take advantage of it. You will learn to appreciate all that the police do to protect the community.

I haven't butt dialed anyone yet with my cell phone. But, I've had my cat hang up on them. I like to sit at my desk with ear buds plugged into my iphone and that cat has stepped on the end call button more than once.
