There are times when my editor, wife and fans don't send me any news articles to work from. At times like that I will often use the first thing I see. Too often it's something I've seen on Facebook. I then spend the next hour researching to make sure that it's true. And by research I mean that I stay on Facebook and look at cat videos. Then I get distracted by the Internet. I have no idea if there ever was a study like this. But I do know that the set up made for a good gag and I didn't have to proofread too many of the words.

The Return of Stickman #1562
I try to put in as little effort into writing for this strip as possible. My wife saw the strip I did yesterday and commented, "Isn't today Yoga Appreciation Day?" I went online to find out and all Google kept throwing at me was Yoga pants appreciation sites. The search yielded unexpected results and a strip that wrote itself.

The Return of Stickman #1413
It won't take much of an Internet search to find several articles relating to the news story that inspired this strip.

The Return of Stickman #1392
I know your dying to find out my news source that inspired this story. But you're going to have to wait because I'm going to be posting a follow-up strip tomorrow.
Today I plan on having PB&J's with my good friend and wedding painter, Sam Day.

The Return of Stickman #1326 and Jet City 2011
It's hard to ignore news stories like this one when they happen in your town. This is not the first time I've heard of somebody asking their neighbors or friends who to get rid of a body. All I can think is that these folks were never in the Boy Scouts.
If you're a regular reader of this blog you might have noticed that there was no movie review posted yesterday. I never got around to drawing a review last weekend because I was busy attending the Jet City Comic Show. This is the second year I've attended the show and I will be in it again next year. Here are a few shots I took at the event.
My first sale of the day!

Jet City's mascot is Bomber Girl and this year she was played by Sierra McKenzie. You might have seen Sierra in some of my other photos. She is part of a modeling group that convention and trade shows hire to promote events or products.

My last sale of the day. The Brains! t-shirt was a big hit.

The Return of Stickman #1081
This year has actually been quite good to me. It certainly has been kinder to me than to several of my friends. Some of my friends lost their homes this year, others filed for bankruptcy, some had to do both. A few lost their spouse through separation, divorce and death. So this strip is not for me, it's for all of those who want desperately to put this year behind them.

I hope my friend Bill Barnes over at Unshelved doesn't mind me digging into library related material.

I'm not favoring Tacoma in any way here. I'm sure there are armed pizza delivery guys in all fifty states.

The Return of Stickman #1052
Who confronts a homeless guy who just shoved a ferret into his pants? Last I heard, both the man and the ferret were "at-large."

The Return of Stickman #1039
Check out my Night of the Lepus movie review. The funny part was the stampede footage was obviously lifted from a much older generic cowboy movie. But, the movie did show what a threat giant bunnies pose to the world.

The Return of Stickman #1032
My interest in movies is once again showing itself in Stickman instead of staying in The Comic Critic where it belongs.

The Return of Stickman #1031
I had the pleasure of doing a book review of The Graphic Artists Guild Handbook: Pricing and ethical Guidelines for my friends over at Unshelved, one of my favorite strips.
