The Return of Stickman #1027 and Akron Family

This posting of The Return of Stickman is long overdue. What could possibly keep me from posting for a few weeks? Well, there were a couple of huge projects that hit my desk and I had to get them done before I headed off to Bumbershoot, a three day music festival held at Seattle Center each year. I drew during the concerts, and in some cases had the band sign the drawings. I will be posting a couple of those this week to make up for my tardiness. But, work and Bumbershoot were not the only things that kept me busy. I also had relatives visiting from Colorado and California. Having them here was a blast. Now it’s back to our regularly scheduled programming.

My page for CLAW-tu Barada Nikto #3

I'm a founder of a group in Washington State called The CLAW. Our newsletter is a bit different than most groups in that it doesn't contain any "news". Even the format is different than other newsletters. The CLAW creates tiny six paged comics called "trashcans" which are created from one 8.5 by 11 piece of paper folded and cut in a unique way. We then take these little treasures and sprinkle them around the city of Tacoma to various bistros, coffee shops, and stores. They are highly sought "found" items. This is the third issue and the them was "Tacoma, City of Density", a play on the city's real motto, "City of Destiny". You can download issues #1 and #2 here.

I want to thank my friend Janet S. for forwarding this little moment from Port Townsend's history. I hope you all enjoyed it as well.

The Return of Stickman #1025

This grand and glorious Monday morning has me feeling all bright and chipper. But, a happy feeling is like a house of cards. One little gust can bring whole thing down.

The Return of Stickman #1024

All of this except for the last panel is true. I read it on the internet. And if it was me, I'd want to take full advantage of that very expensive fish.

The Return of Stickman #1023

I wanted to draw the attention back to the actual damage done to the environment and how truly hard that is to measure in any terms. So, I over-anthropomorthized. What? That's not a real word?

The Comic Critic Reviews: He's Just not that into you. Also, you get The Return of Stickman #1022

Normally I don’t memorize movie lines. I’m more of a visual guy, so I remember scenes much better. I knew this guy named Rick; he could remember movie lines like nobody’s business. We had great fun replaying The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, with me describing the scenes as he did the dialog. And we would have kept it up, but the folks we were with begged us to be merciful and stop. What does our little geek-out session have to do with He’s Just Not That Into You? Well, nothing really. I have these lines memorized because I was doing a lot of cross-country flying and received some sort of karmic retribution: He’s Just Not That Into You was the in-flight movie five times in a row. I’m a slow learner, but I now carry back-up movies to watch.

You're stark naked in the woods and the police have you cornered. Why? Why not go quietly? Why choose the hard way to end that particular chapter in your life? I guess you were going for as many poor decisions in a day as you could possibly manage.
